This brand new, unique and limited edition hardback book by Gil Boyd and Frank Fletcher (both ex members of The Parachute Regiment) brings together the stories of the snipers who took part in the Falklands War in 1982.
The 2nd of April, 2020 will be the 38th Anniversary of the invasion of the Falkland Islands by the Argentine Military. The views and stories are those told by the men themselves, from the various regiments that made up the Task Force.
It covers the arduous and traumatic tasks they undertook 1000s of miles from home and in terrible conditions. It tells the story of these highly trained, band of men who carried the L42A1 rifle into battle. It is also the story of that rifle and how it endured from its origin as the Lee Enfield No 4 (T).303 sniper rifle to the L42A1 7.62mm sniper rifle it became. We also tell the story of its eventual replacement the L96A1 rifle from Accuracy International Limited.
